Collecting Fuel Receipts

Lately we have been having issues collecting fuel receipts from certain drivers. We believe that it is most always a matter of misplacing the receipt – nothing more, nothing less. However, All American DID have to deal with a fuel theft ring occurring at our company many years ago. Several were convicted and even more lost their jobs. Therefore, due to the fact we have a history of this occurring at our company, it is imperative we keep track of our expenses, especially for fuel.

Therefore, effective March 28th, you will need to ensure you turn in your receipts to your manager. If you do not, we reserve the right to deduct that fuel expense from your pay. We are asking for your cooperation with this – we do not want to take this deduction – so please be sure you hold on to that receipt as if it were cash.
